Destination Wedding Cancun: Day 2

Got so wrecked the night before that I didn't get up until 1 pm. Everyone was already at the pool.

The pool facilities at Iberostar are awesome.

The guest at the Villas have their own private pools.

There also a really nice shaded area with a bunch of hammocks to hang out.

While I was asleep, they were making Paella pool side. It was very good.

I was still burnt out, so I took a quick nap on the hammocks.

Headed back to the buffet for lunch.

Freshly made Empanadas

We were playing horse for a bit and Jarvis decided to dunk the ball. He ended up breaking it. His comment was "that dunk was nasty right?"

Yup it's broken.

They call this the magic carpet. If you fall down before reaching the end, you have to hold the carpet for the next group of people.

It was time to head back to the room to get ready for dinner.  Nicole was jealous that my bed got flowers and hers did not.

Cucumber margarita they were passing out in the lobby.

Met up with everyone at La Horma restaurant for our Welcome Dinner.

Cheese bread.. I just wished it was warmed up. Still really good though.

Lobster & papaya appetizer.

The duck was really good.

Steak and scalloped potatoes. Heard this was tasty also.

So the servers brought a cart full of premium liquor to our table. We went through 4 bottles of wine, two bottles tequila and two bottles of cognac.... $800 dollars later, found out it wasn't included in the all inclusive.

Cheesecake.. this was okay.

After dinner we headed to the buffet hoping that they had seafood.

No seafood, but did find made to order pasta.

I ordered gnocchi with half marinara and half cheese sauce.

Hung out in the lounge area for a bit, waiting for the nights show to start.

On Friday they have a couples game show and Jarvis and Angela were contestants.

Not too many people watching the show.

but it was a fun show. Angela found out that the winners get a 30 minutes spa massage, so she was determined to win.

and they won. It was a fun show.

The last event sealed the deal for them.
My friends won the couples game show.

After the show we went to the sports bar for karaoke.

Ended our night in the room with room service.

Cheesecake.

Chicken Caesar.

Tacos al pastor. They were okay. I love Al Pastor so I'm very particular about it.

Chicken nugget and fries. It's your typical frozen chicken nuggets. Still delicious though.

That ends day 2. It was a mild night, especially since we were destroyed the night before.

Tomorrow it's wedding time and CoCo Bongo.
