2017 Halloween trip: Disneyland & Club 33

Arrived at Disneyland around 9 am. Crazy line just to get through security check.

Grabbed our tickets and headed to DCA for some breakfast. While everyone got breakfast I headed to Guardians of the Galaxy to get a fast pass.

By the time we finished breakfast everyone else started to show up.

Headed to California Sreamin' since the wait was 10 minutes.

By the time we finished riding the coaster, our fast pass for Guardians was due. I guess they changed their fast pass system. Before you used to get a fast pass ticket and would return with that, but now your fast pass is tied into your admission ticket. So you would have to scan your admission ticket to get into the fast pass line.

They did a great job changing from Tower of Terror. Looks totally different.

And the ride was awesome. A great upgrade from ToT.

This year DCA had a Halloween overlay.

Vodka Pomegranate Limeade

Slow Burnin Mac & Cheese Cone: Mac with spicy cheese sauce, topped with flamin cheetos, & served in a black cone. It was pretty tasty.

Forgot what this was called, but it was a large macaroon.

They finally put a fast pass machine for Toy Story Mania, which is one of my favorite rides. So it was nice not having to wait 45 mins.

Winner winner chicken dinner.

Ariel ride was only a 5 minute wait, so why not. It's a nice way to get out of the heat.

We had about an hour and half to burn before our fast pass for Soarin' so we grabbed some drinks at Mendocino Wine Bar.

Jaylyn is ready!

Stephen was giving his mom a run for her money. We kind of barricaded him in an area and let him burn off some energy.

Jalapeno Cheese Pretzel was delicious.

After Soarin' we did a bit of shopping and wondered around Main Street.

Then it was time for dinner at Club 33. So we had to change our clothes because they have a dress code.

Heels in Disneyland? No thanks.

Took Tomi and Tera for their first visit to Club 33.

It was also Quyen's first visit also. Stephen probably won't even remember this.

Viet also a rookie to Club 33 and it was his first time to Disneyland. How did this happen I have no idea.

Cold towels, and infused water while we waited.

Dinner was at 6 pm, but we headed in early to have a few drinks at the bar.

I'm still attempting to try every cocktail on the menu. So far this is what I have had.

City Park Sour
Sazerac
Vesper
French 75
Mai Tai
Mr. Well be loved
Hurricane
Sidecar
Vieux Carre
Lucid Absinthe
Moscow Mule
Ramos Gin Fizz
Throw and Maskers

and on this trip I started with Trophy room cocktail. Which I think is new on the menu. So it makes it a lot more difficult to complete my task.

Mouthwash in the mens restroom.

Second drink I had was Ward 8 which I forgot to snap a pic of,
Third drink I had was a Plum Dandy, which reminded me of a Ramos Gin Fizz.

Jaylyn looks pretty hungry back there.

I have only had dinner at Club 33 once prior to this trip and that was the old Club 33. So didn't know what to expect for dinner at the remodeled Club 33.

For lunch they offer a 4 course and for dinner they offered a 5 course. $120
You can mix and match as much as you want and can pick two or more from the same category if you wanted, but the only thing you can double up on is the main entree.

She's hangry.

Its a fake candle.

We ordered the Grand Plateau: Chilled selection of Oysters, Poached Shrimp, Scallops, Octopus, Whole Lobster Tail, King Crab Legs, Snow Crab Claws. It was delicious.

Garnishes for the platter. Horseradish, Cocktail sauce, Mignonette, and I forgot what was in the tubes.

Goat cheese amuse bouche.

Sauteed Diver Scallop, Field Beans, French Bayonne Ham, Corn Velvet.
This was amazing!

Carpaccio of Filet Mignon and Veal, Blistered Blueberries, Petit Arugula

White Bean Soup, Duck Confit, Tender Kale, Mushroom Foam.

Heirloom Tomatoes, House Made Lemon Ricotta, Basil Pesto, Olive Oil Crouton

Pan-Seared Duck Breast, Date Cous Cous, Mint, Cucumber Yogurt. Another excellent dish.

Sustainable fish of the day ( I think it was swordfish), Zucchini, Minestrone, Roasted Tomato Broth

Sorbet palate cleanser

Grilled Prime New York, Green Garlic Puree, Roasted Baby Roots

Over-Baked Roman Gnocchi, Wile Mushroom and San Marzano Tomato Bolohnese.

Grilled Veal Scaloppini, Warm Lobster and Potato Salad, Lemon-Tarragon Remoulade.

While phillip was in the restroom, they folded his napkin into a Sorcerer's Hat

Laura Chenel Panna Cotta, Seassonal Blackberries.

Traditional Pear Tart, Vanilla Anglaise, Creme Fraiche Chantilly

Manjari Chocolate Opera Cake, Coffee Chantilly Cream, Raspberry Sorbet

Caramel Mousse " Napoleon" with Almond Brittle and Orange Currant Coulis

Assortment of sweets.

In total with the kids we ended up wtih 21 people.

After dinner it was 9 pm already. So we headed back to the lockers to change into comfortable clothes to enjoy the rest of the evening.

We were stuffed and a bit tired. So we took the train around the park and got off at Tomorrow Land.

Tom gave us some fast passes for Space Mountain so we rode that with little wait time.

5 minute wait for Buzz Lightyear? Don't mind if I do.

By the time it was all said and done. It was 11:30 pm.

We were so burnt out.

Called it a night and headed back to the hotel.

Next morning I had to head back home early for class. So Tammy and I headed to the airport first.
Stopped by Mediterrania Grill for a quick bite before our flight.

Food was okay.

That ends this trip. It went by so fast. We barely got to do anything.
I think next year I'm going to have to do two days at the Disney parks.

That ends this trip.
Where to next? I'm unsure. Maybe SoCal or Maybe Hawaii. Currently undecided.
