Cancun 2022 Day 2

Woke up pretty early. Cevicheria restaurant wasn't open yet. So I thought I'd go check out the gym.
It was a pretty basic gym, they required closed-toe shoes to workout. Towels and bottled water are provided. Basic gym machines and dumbells up to 50lbs. No other free weights.
After the gym, I met the guy at Cevicheria for some fish and shrimp tacos.
The fried fish & shrimp tacos at Cevicheria are probably my favorite thing at the resort. I've been craving them ever since I booked the trip. The green sauce is really spicy.
We pretty much spent the entire day at the pool drinking. Met a lot of people from all over the place.
Some of the guys participated in a pool race. You had to swim across the pool on a bogey board, hop out the pool grab a balloon, pop the balloon by belly-flopping into the pool, swim back and underwater between the staff person's legs, then jump out of the pool and give your best 3 sexy poses. It was really fun to watch. Son befriended the DJ and we were able to make song requests as long as there wasn't any profanity.

We ended up closing the pool bar and headed back to get ready for dinner at Rosato.
Beef Carpaccio
I don't remember what everyone ordered but I think this is ravioli.
Spaghetti maybe?
Lasagna?
Maybe chicken parm?

Ice cream and coffee Flambe. This was really good.
After dinner, we headed back to the bar for a few more drinks and I called it a night around 10 pm. We had to wake up really early for our excursion to Xavage.

Cancun 2022 Day 1: Fiesta Americana Condesa Cancun

I got married during the pandemic and never officially got to have a bachelor party and one of my buddies would constantly remind me. So after I felt more comfortable about traveling we decided to head to Cancun as I had originally planned.

We headed to the San Francisco airport super early hoping to capitalize on the lounge pass. Unfortunately found out that our terminal didn't have a lounge, but our pass did allow us each a $28 food & beverage credit for the pass holder and one additional guest. There were three restaurants at the airport that honored the lounge credit and yes you are allowed to visit all the restaurants on the same day.
We ended up arriving about 30 mins early. Got into our pre-booked transportation and headed straight to the hotel. I choose to stay at Fiesta Americana Condesa Cancun. I had stayed here before and knew what to expect. I thought it would be a good introduction to everyone else that was going because it was either their first time in Cancun, their first time at an All-Inclusive, or both.
It's been a few years since I've been to Fiesta and they had remodeled a bit. The rooms have definitely changed for the better.
I dropped off my bags and headed down to the bar to meet with everyone else.
I was really hungry so we dined at the taco restaurant.
Al-Pastor and homemade tortillas.
Beef
The bar/lounge had also been remodeled. It looks like they moved the bar to the middle of the room. It used to be against a wall.
Here's part of the group. One of the boys had already called it quits and the other one arrives tomorrow.
We walked around so the guys can see the resort. There seemed to be something going on next door. So we went to check it out.
We found out it was the Loveland Festival right on the beach. So we walked over.
The festival ended with fireworks.
We ended drinking at the bar the remaining night.
We had the late-night munchies and our server Diego hooked it up with some nachos. It was amazing.
I ended up just having our server pick out drinks for us. I forgot what this was called but I believe it's a blue lagoon topped with electric lemonade.
Shots!!!!
We ended up closing out the bar which I think closed at 1am.
Headed to our buddy's room to hang out and ordered room service which is 24hrs. The club sandwich is my favorite and the fries are really good too.

That's it for day 1. We got in kind of late, but tomorrow will be our first full day at the resort.
