Trip Report Nassau, Bahamas day 6: Heading home.

It was time to head home. Packed our stuff and headed down to the casino to settle out our bill and to see if we qualified for additional comps. We ended getting over $2k worth stuff comped, but that was mostly due to Phat's gambling. Tammy and I played on just my players account and we were able to contribute a little towards the comp. Even Khanh received some comps too.

Quizno's at Nassau Airport. Not too many Quizno's around anymore.

Had a layover in Houston and our connecting flight ended up getting delayed. So we stopped by Little Purse Dumplings for lunch.

You seat yourself and all of the ordering is through a touch pad.

Chicken and Shrimp wontons

Pork, Leek, and Shrimp dumplings.

Pork & Shrimp shumai

Pot stickers.

Korean Fried Chicken sliders- pretty good.

All of the dumplings, wontons, and potstickers were decent, but compared to the food offered at our home airport it was better than anything we had to offer.

House Ramen. There something about the texture of the noodles that was kind of off. I'd pass on the ramen.

The Houston airport and very nice and they have a lot of food offerings. I wished I skipped on the dumplings for some BBQ instead.

Was browsing the Forth + Nomad stand near our gate. Locally made small batch goods.

Ended up picking up one of their candles cause the scent was similar to the one used at Rosewood Hotel.

You can even create your own candle and they'll ship it free to you.

That ends this trip.

Where to next?
Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. It'll be my first time visiting. Stay tuned.

Trip Report Nassua, Bahamas day 5: Oh Andros, & 3 Tides Fish House.

I don't remember what time we got up, but I know it was after noon. Cris and I were just burnt out from drinking until 6 in the morning.

The rest of the group wanted to go for lunch at Oh Andros located at the fish fry. We've tried a few places at the fish fry in the past and Oh Andros is the best so far.

They make their food fresh so even though you order right away, it does take some time before your food arrives.

Fried Seafood Platter: Lobster, Shrimp, Fish, peas & rice with a choice of two sides. We got mac & cheese and potato salad. Serving size easily for two or more people.

Pork Chops, peas & rice, coleslaw, & fried plantains.

House spicy chicken wings.

Conch Salad.

After lunch we headed to downtown to do some souvenir shopping.

Cris found this hat at the souvenir shop.

After a quick walk through downtown, we headed back to our hotel. Half of the group passes out, but Tammy, Khanh and I headed to the pool. Nobody was at the pool.

On our way back from the pool we grabbed some dessert from the lounge.

We ended up at 3 Tides Fish House for dinner.

I love their open kitchen design. It's located in the middle of the restaurant.

Sushi rolls are good, but overpriced as usual.

Prawns Linguini. I didn't try this but some of our friends ordered this for the second time, so must be pretty good.

3 Tides Burger. This was okay. Fries are great though.

Curry Bowl: Thai green curry, but flavor wise resembled nothing like Thai green curry. Phat didn't like this dish at all.

Mahi-Mahi

After dinner we up with some of our friends from the wedding party who were having dinner at our resort. Did a quick tour of the property and then we kind of scattered and went gambling.

That ends night 5. Tomorrow we head home.
