South Lake Tahoe trip Day 1

This was our second annual trip to South Lake Tahoe.

Some of the group head to Tahoe Saturday noon and the rest of us arrived on Sunday morning.
My brother rented a large cabin near Zephyr Cove. The cabin was located at Zephyr Heights. The cabin was really nice. Sleeps 18 very comfortably.

Picture of the entrance. When you enter the cabin it puts you on the 3rd floor.

To the right of the entrance is the living room.

Dinning room connected to the living room.

Behind the living is the open kitchen.

To the left the stairs lead down to the sleeping area. The french doors lead to a patio in the front.

Downstairs on the second floor. The door on the right leads down to the first floor which is the garage.

At the end of the hallway is the bathroom and laundry room.

The living room has two Murphy beds and a foosball table. Surprisingly we never played with it. I just we just forgot about it cause we were always on the 3rd floor.

There were two more additional rooms. One that had a bunk bed and another regular bed.

Heading up to the 4th floor there are three more rooms.

Two sets of bunk beds

The other room had a queen bed.

a shared bathroom with a jacuzzi tub.

The master bedroom is always the best.

The master bathroom was the best. Jacuzzi tub

Large walk in closet

and a huge shower with 4 different nozzles.

Some of us had work late Saturday night and right after work we hopped into our cars and headed to Tahoe. We arrived around 8am and we were tired. So we took a power nap until noon. After we woke up we got ready to head to the lake. Here we are chilling on the front balcony.

We ended up going to Zephyr Cove. It has a beach and a bar with a cocktail server walking around taking drink orders. It was packed and all the parking was full. So we had to park on the street about 1/2 a mile from the bar. So we walked along the beach until we got to our destination.

After we found a spot to squat down. We headed straight to the bar. Drinks prices were decent. 6 bucks for Jack Daniels and about 7 bucks for Kettle One.

At first we were walking back and forth from the bar. The cocktail server was taking a bit too long and we couldn't wait.

but she caught on real quick. Especially with out huge drink order and generous tips. She was returning a lot quicker than usual. :)

After a few hours at the beach we headed home and started prepping for dinner.

Normally the backyard is blazing hot, but when the shade sets in, it's awesome.

We had so much food. We marinated most of the meat before the trip and the group spent an additional 500 bucks on more food and drinks when they arrived. Chicken wings, salmon tacos, brautwurst, Korean short ribs.

After the early dinner everyone started to pass out.

John, Jeff, and Alex left on Sunday cause they had things to do on Monday. After our nap we headed out to the casinos. It was around midnight.

The casino floor was pretty dead and the table minimums were really low. Craps was $5, Roulette was $1, and PaiGow Poker was $15

Right when we saw this Clue slot machine. We had to play it.

We jumped around a bunch of machines trying to figure out which one we liked the most. After losing a bit on the other slots we jumped on PaiGow for a bit. We had a great group of people playing and the guy next to me actually hit a straight flush and he was playing $50 on the bonus . A straight flush pays out 50 to 1. He walked away with $2,500 and everyone else got the envy bonus. It was quite fun at the table. We left the table while we were up and headed back to clue.

and boy was I glad we came back to Clue cause I ended up hitting a bonus that paid out well. Especially being a penny slot.

Next thing you know it was 8am. So we decided to leave. I think 8hrs of gambling and walking out a winner seem to be a good day.

We got back to the cabin and pretty much crashed out.
