Hawaii Vacation 2010 - Day 3

It was another gorgeous morning. We had McDonald's for breakfast. Nothing like some spam, eggs, and rice to start off the day.

After breakfast we headed to Diamond Head for a hike. It's a really nice and easy hike. It's about 1 mile up I think.

We almost reached the top and stopped for some pics.

These stairs are really grueling.

At the top there is a lookout bunker. Pretty neat if your into the WW2 stuff. You climb out the window and climb on to the top of the bunker. There are some awesome views of the island there.

After a hot day of hiking the water was looking quite pleasant. So it was time for out decent and off to Waikiki for some surfing.

We headed to Rainbow Drive in for some grub first before we hit the beach.
Alvin had pork cutlet with rice and mac salad.
John had a cheese burger, fries, mac salad, chili dog, slushie float, and an apple turnover.
I had the pork cutlet also but I add some eggs over easy on time. Freaking delicious.
After food we went surfing. John and I surfed for about 1 1/2 hours. Phil and Alvin were out surfing for 3 1/2 hours.

When we got back to the house we were beat, but it was still early. So Phil, Alvin and I decided to head out to do something. We ended up grabbing a bite to eat. My friend told me to check out Side Street Inn. Which is a local restaurant that is literally located on the side street/alley. It looked very sketchy. I was told a lot of good chefs stop by this place to eat. It was next door to a XXX place. Parking was very hard to find. Glad we stopped by this place. The food was really good. They serve things here family style.

Mr. Lam with his pina colada.

We had the house special fried rice. Which had Chinese sausage and kim chee.

Their spice friend chicken was really juicy but not spicy at all.

We also had bone in short rib also.

We did not finish any of the plates at all. The portions are huge.

After the late dinner we called it a night and went to sleep. Quite a relaxing day. Tuesday was already over. It was starting to hit me that our trip was going to end soon.
