SoCal Trip Report day 3: Porto's, Kettlebar Steam Cooking, Afters Ice cream.

We asked our friend John to be our officiant, Jaylyn to be our flower girl, Jayceon to be our ring bearer, and Robyn to be our witness for our elopement. They all said yes, otherwise this trip would be really awkward.

Time for some breakfast. There's a Dunkin Donuts inside of Great Wolf Lodge.

They offer a plant-based breakfast sandwich. I'm noticing a lot more places offering plant-based food items.

We headed back to the arcade so that Jaylyn can redeem her tickets for some prizes. She just wanted to ride the dolphin game, which John did the steering and I did the shooting.

After we ran out of credits she finally wanted to get some stuff. We had about 600 or so tickets.

She wanted the squishy hamburger which was 250 tickets.

Then she wanted the squishy ice cream, another 250 tickets.

We took her to the other side of the counter to use the rest of the tickets on smaller items. She saw squishy french fries, but we didn't have enough tickets. So we put a few more credits on the card and went back to win just enough to get the french fries.

The ticket games are pretty generous and I think the prizes are pretty reasonably priced.

I'm particularly good at the Spongebob coin drop game.

We won enough to complete the set and Jaylyn loved it. Worth it!

and then she saw my little pony mystery box, which was 400 tickets. So back to the games we go.

Finally got the My Little Pony mystery box and spent the rest on random stuff.

We checked out of our room and headed to downtown Disney to do a little shopping.

Headed over to Porto's to grab some cheese rolls to bring back home. If you haven't had Porto's I highly recommend you stop by. It's worth the visit. There are several locations and one about a 15-minute drive from Disneyland.

For lunch, we went to the Anaheim Packing District. There are a lot of food options here.

We had lunch at Kettlebar Steam Cooking.

Battered fries

Fried calamari.

Kettlebar Pan Roast. This is what we mainly came here for. Chicken, Shrimp, Crab, & Lobster. It's so good. One bowl can feed two people. Just have to order an extra side of rice.

For dessert, we met up with our buddy Phil Afters Ice Cream. My favorite ice cream spot. They have so many locations now. They just released season 4 of Rick & Morty. One of my favorite shows and looks like they did a collaboration.

Strawberry Smiggles Milk & Cereal.

Dark Matter Brownie Batter. I sampled both of the R&M flavors and they were both really good.

My go-to flavor is Cookie Monster. It's so delicious that I can't get myself to try another flavor.

Hung out for a bit and chatted with our buddy Phil. Then it was time to head to the airport.
It was a nice quick trip to SoCal, but that's it for this trip.

So where to next? We're off to Hawaii for a week. Stay Tuned for the trip report. You know we'll be covering a lot of food.
