Oahu day 4: International Smoke & Kawaikui Beach Park

Monday morning we headed back to the food court at the International Market because Phat wanted to try the King Crab sandwich from the test kitchen.

We ended up getting BBQ from International Smoke. Brisket and Rib combo, jalapeno cord bread, beans, kimchi slaw, pulled pork mac and cheese. Ribs and corn bread were good, but the rest wasn't. I'd recommend skipping this place.

Phat did enjoy his King Crab roll/sub though.

Since my parents haven't had a chance to hang out at the beach we decided to take them to Kawaikui Beach Park.

We used to rent a home over in this area when we visited and I really enjoyed the shallow waters. The area that we would normally go didn't have public access. So we had to settle for kawaikui Beach Park. The water is shallow, but there are lots of rocks. So I recommend bringing your water shoes.

You can go about 1/4 mile out and still be only waist deep.

Peter caught a tiny crab.

In the evening Chris invited us to his place to have a BBQ.

Eventually we made our way back to our place in Waikiki and hung for the remaining evening.

Day 4 done...Tomorrow is the wedding rehearsal and rehearsal dinner.
