Trip Report Puerto Vallarta day 4: La LAngosta Loca, Tierra Huichol, Pepe's Taco

I guess it rained a lot in the mountains and the river flowed into the ocean along with all the soil it picked up on the way.

For lunch, we visited La Langosta Loca for some seafood.

They have tables on the beach, but it was still so hot.

It was so hot and humid that my ice melted before I can even get halfway with my drink.

Octopus ceviche. I don't like octopus, but my friends said it was really good.

I think this is the tuna ceviche.

A lady was walking around selling muffins. I got the banana muffin which was delicious. Phat had the corn muffin, which he said was also really good. 25 pesos each.

You get visited by quite a few solicitors. They weren't pushy at all. This gentleman was selling bracelets and you can get anything name or wording. I bought 5 of them as souvenirs. Took him about an hour to make them all by hand. 600 pesos for them all. Well worth it.

Cream horns also 25 pesos. These were okay though. I'm not a fan of custard.

Crazy Lobster- garlic, butter, spicy sauce. I wasn't too impressed with this dish.

Terminator Lobster. Phat said this was okay.

Shrimps your way. I also heard this wasn't that impressive.

After lunch, we headed to Tierra Huichol. We've been visiting this place every day since we saw it. Phat's been eyeing some of their artwork. He eventually picked up a torso piece that took over 5 months to complete. I think it was 22,000 pesos. The larger pieces come with certificates of authenticity and they're not cheap either. They do however have smaller pieces that are more affordable, but no certificate for the smaller pieces.

I was told that the figures are coated in beeswax and each bead is applied by hand via a needle.

After a bit of souvenir shopping, we headed back to our hotel to relax before heading out for dinner.
I was thinking about trying some other type of cuisines, but I was craving some more Al Pastor tacos and knew I couldn't get the same quality back at home, so I suggested we check out Pepe's Tacos

This is heartburn medication, it looks neat though.

The Al Pastor here was also really good. Overall we tried tacos at 4 different places and they were all excellent.

This is the Hawaiiana- flour tortilla, cheese, bacon, al pastor, pineapple. So delicious.

Volcan- crispy corn tortilla, cheese, al pastor.

After dinner, we walked back to the boardwalk. Saw these large ants on our walk. I don't know what type they are but they were carrying a lot of stuff.

We ended up back at the same bar from the previous nights. We dad a few drinks and headed back to the hotel for the remaining night.

That ends day 4. Tomorrow it's time to head home.
