Annual SoCal Halloween trip Day 1: Knott's Scary Farm

Another Halloween year is upon us. This time it was our first time traveling with baby Emmalyn. We arrived 3 hours early just so we could get used to traveling with her and not feel rushed.
We learned a few things but got thru rather quickly. We had plenty of time to burn so we  went to the lounge.

Emmalyn did great on her first flight. No fuss and didn't even need a bottle on the decent. Our airbnb wasn't available for early check-in so we headed to Rodeo 39 Public Market for some food and drinks while we waited to check-in.

Kra Z Kai's BBQ Lao Style BBQ.
Rodeo Bar is a full bar with an area for 21+
Shootz Hawaiian-inspired food. Honey Coconut Shrimp Musubi.
We got to our Airbnb and hung out for a bit.We would usually visit the Haunted Lounge at Amber Waves, but looks like the hotel is under renovations and the restaurant was closed. Such a bummer as I loved go there every year.

The line to get into the park was insane. I have never seen it this long before. It line was for bag check so some of us went back to the car to drop off our stuff and the rest of us went into the park first.
While we were waiting for the others to get into the park we headed to the Saloon to grab some drinks.

Zombie Juice Blood Bag- Vodka, pineapple, lemonade and green apple.

It's been about 4 years since I've gone to Knott's Scary Farm. I usually rotate it with Universal's Halloween Horror Nights and Queen Mary's Dark Harbour, but with the pandemic we missed a year or two.

All of the mazes at Knott's this year were new to me. I heard Cinema Slasher was the best one so I had to check it out.
The maze was done extremely well.
They brought back the Hanging Show for the 50th Anniversary.
Raveena went a bit too hard on her first Halloween trip with us and was done by show time.
Peter and Raveena ended up leaving early cause she was done. We ended up running around for a while longer drinking and going to another maze.
We ended up calling it a night close to midnight as we had a long date ahead of us tomorrow at Disneyland. We grabbed some late-night food at Jack in the Box and headed back home.

Tomorrow we take Emmalyn to Disneyland for the first time.
