John, Robyn and Jaylyn flew back home in the early morning. Tammy and I headed to Alhambra to visit our friend Alvin & Cat. They just recently had a baby.
We had brunch at Kitchen Mouse which is vegetarian cafe.
House vanilla chai and cappuccino.
I'm not a fan of vegetarian food, but I had Jo's Breakfast Sandwich and it was really good. I would definitely order again.
House Kale Salad. Tammy really liked this.
I think this is the Moros Cake
Avocado TLT
Around the corner was Mr Holmes Bakehouse which is known for the Cruffin, but was sold out when we visited.
Had their Matcha Croissant. It was average. Maybe would have been better if it was toasted?
After brunch we headed back to south to Irvine to visit our friend Phil & Quyen.
Spent a good hour or so catching up with them. Then we were off to Laguna Niguel to visit my cousin for a bit.
Since we were staying in Anaheim and it was rush hour. Quyen suggested that we check out Nick's Laguna Beach
It was busy for a weekday.
Asparagus Fries $12 were great.
Bacon Deviled Eggs $8. These were phenomenal. The egg whites are fried. The filling was super flavorful.
Prime Rib Dip with warm potato salad $20, delicious and the potato salad was probably the best I have had yet.
Bistro Plate: petite filet mignon with steak butter served on garlic toast, with bistro salad & soup of the day which was cream of mushroom. Tammy really like it.
Quyen also suggested that we check out the holiday decorations at Balboa Island. It's a harbor side community that you can drive to.
The frozen banana originated here.
Or this place I don't know they are next to each other.
Balboa Island is a quaint neighborhood. Lots of decked out houses for the holiday. You can pay to hop on a boat and cruise around the harbor looking at the decorations or you can just walk around. You can't drive around because their are no road around the perimeter of the island.
Eventually we made our way back to our hotel and called it a night. That ends day 3.
