Las Vegas Superbowl LIV day 1: Planet Hollywood, Cosmopolitan, Ghost Donkey, Milk bar

This year the Niners were going to the Superbowl so we headed off to Vegas to place some bets and watch the game.

Tammy and I arrived at the airport earlier than usual just so we can get our monies worth at the airport lounge.

It's been a couple of years since I've been back to Las Vegas. Cosmopolitan isn't as generous with their comp rooms as they used to. So I couldn't get anything for Superbowl weekend, but fortunately, other hotels were very generous on comps for my brother so he got us a room at Planet Hollywood.

The room was being cleaned when we arrived. So we dropped our bags off and headed to sports booking so our buddy can place some bets.

He got a few drink vouchers for placing a bet.

Free drinks, don't mind if I do.

Headed back to the room once it was done being turned down so that we can unpack and rest for a bit.


Tammy was saying how much she loved this art piece. I mentioned it looked like a penis. Now she doesn't like it anymore.




Viet went to Taco Bell to get some nachos & tacos for the viewing party at the wrap-around suite at Cosmo.

I went and got a bunch of nuggets.




Cosmo now has a food court with a lot more food options.





Watched the game lost money. You know the usual.

I walked Tammy back to the room so that she could rest up.

Viet and I went to drown our sorrows in some gambling.





The slot machines we not friendly at all. It just ate up money no matter what machine I was playing. Just a day of bad luck.

Jack told me there was a secret bar at Cosmo and I wanted to see it.


So in the far back of the food court, there's a door that looks like an exit. The place is called Ghost Donkey.

Small quaint little place. Ghost Donkey specializes in Tequila & Mezcal. I really don't like Tequila so I didn't order anything. Just went in to take pics.


We ended up getting Panda Express and hung out at Jack's room for the rest of the evening.


We stopped by Milk Bar for dessert on our way back to our room.


Got a Cereal Milkshake. It's really good. I love the cornflake pieces.

That's it for day 1. I didn't get a chance to get plastered cause the casino ate up my money faster than the cocktail servers could get me drinks.

Hopefully tomorrow I'll have better luck.
