Spent a quick two nights in Maui and then we were off to the airport to catch a flight to Oahu.
Lunch at the airport Burger King.
The flight was very short. I think 35 minutes. I wasn't even sure if they were going to give us a drink or anything, but they do.
We decided to take my parents to Hawaii for the first time. So we planned their flight to arrive in Oahu the same time ours did.
Grab our rental cars and headed to our Airbnb. We booked a 2 bedroom that was in the heart of Waikiki. It ended up being the top floor Penthouse of the Aqua Bamboo Hotel, but was independently owned from the hotel. Not sure how that works, but it was perfect for us.
We had the entire top floor with a full wrap around terrace.
After settling in we headed to Rainbow Drive-In
Prok Cutlet with gravy
Mix plate
Walked around Waikiki to show my parents around.
I haven't been to the international Market since they did construction. It's very nice, but I enjoyed the old market better.
The Street is pretty much a fancier food court.
They did have cheap drinks at the food court though. I think a double Crown Royal was $6. The shots are hefty.
You can find your typical high end stores at the International Market which is completely opposite of the old International Market.
They kept the tree though which was very nice.
When we first arrived to Oahu all my parents could talk about was the trees and plants on the island. They like gardening so they were more impressed with that than anything else.

Phillip's local friends met with us and took us around for dinner and drinks.
Found out from Phillip's friend that they opened my favorite ramen joint Tsujita in Waikiki. So we had to go there for dinner.
Stopped by Phillip's buddies' work place for a drink before going to Tsujita.
Ramen was delicious. Only thing that was a bit off from the location in Los Angeles was probably the Char siu, which I think is better in the LA location, but still tasty.
Then we headed to the Sheraton Waikiki where Pierce and Alyssa were staying to check out their hotel pool and the beach.
The hotel was very nice and was very busy.
After we headed back to our place and hung out and drank all night.
Phillip's friend Chris generously brought over a bottle of Fuji-sanroku 18 Years Old Limited Edition Single Malt Japanese Whiskey
We stayed up until 3 am drinking. Great was to end day 3.
