Woke up close to noon and headed to The Oyster Bar at Palace Station Hotel for lunch.
Palace Pan Roast: Shrimp, Crab, Chicken, & Andouille Sausage.
After lunch Phillip and I decide to rack up some points on the slot machine and boy was Phillip on a hot streak. A few videos of our winnings.
Every machine I chose, Phillip would sit next to me and win. I on the other hand was just struggling to stay alive.
Took a break from slots to get a bite to eat.
Then hit some more slots after.
Hit the tables for a bit and then I wanted to hit the horse racing machine at MGM.
I haven't played it in years, but was glad to find that MGM still had the Sigma Derby. It still takes actual quarters and there's a change machine nearby. Supposedly there's only two of these machines left in Vegas. A machine like this doesn't make that much money and takes up a lot of space. There were 10 betting stations but only 4 were working. It's an old machine.
Phat never gambles for fun. He's out to make money. In just three bets with quarters he was able to make about $180. They have a change machine similar to coin star near the cash cage. You put the change in and it prints you a ticket, but takes a 10% commission. If you tell the guy you were playing the horse racing game he'll wave the 10% fee, but YMMV.
MGM also has an updated horse racing game that is all electronic and minimum bet is $1, but it's more complicated then Sigma Derby.
This one if Fortune Cup and it's very entertaining if you're looking to burn time.
Pretty much played this until 3 in the morning and called it a day.
That ends day 2
Got up in the morning and packed our things and headed over to Cosmo for lunch at Wicked Spoon.
After lunch we gambled for a bit and then headed home.
That ends this trip. Nothing too crazy, but it's exactly what Phillip wanted to do for his birthday. Gamble and drink.
That ends this trip.
Next will be Napa Valley.
