I love that Japanese sandwiches are crustless.
We woke up really early and headed out for breakfast.
We decided to check out Heavenly Island Lifestyle.
Mango Mojito
Regular and Guava mimosas.
Local Eggs Benedict: homemade hollandaise sauce with lilikoi butter, poached local eggs served with Okinawa purple potato, local greens, and wheat muffins.
Organic Chicken & Local Green Ginger Pho: Hawaiian style pho noodle with organic chicken, local cilantro, ginger.
Hainanese Organic Chicken Rice. The flavor was okay, but it was a pretty healthy meal.
Maui- Libre: Old Lahaina Dark Rum, Island Cola, Finger Lime & Sugarcane stick. This was really good and the finger lime was something that I have never seen before. The lime was like tiny beads when I squeezed it into my drink.
After breakfast, we wandered into Waikiki Yokocho which is like a Japanese cuisine food court.
The games are free to play.
We stopped by Yokocho to have a drink at the bar, but it had changed ownership since the last time I was here, but the new bar had super cheap drinks. $3 for Jameson and it's not happy hour it's all day! They also had a nice selection of sake also. Haku Japanese Vodka was $5.
Our first round of drinks was under $20.
Time for another round of drinks.
Round 3
After a few drinks, we went shopping.
We stopped by YSL because they had 20% off of everything when Tammy and I were here several months ago.
While Tammy was shopping Jensen and I went to the ABC store to get some more drinks. Got a few bottles of Tito's Vodka for $3 each and some Lilikoi Lychee as a chaser. I stuffed it into Jensen's bag and then Jensen told me how much that bag was worth.... uh, I probably wouldn't have done that if I knew beforehand.
I asked the associate that was helping us if it was still 20% off of everything. She said yes and that it's year-round. I asked her why that was, she told me that they get a lot of foreign visitors so it's YSL way of offering a duty-free price. She said they were the only store that offered 20% and you wouldn't be able to order and have items shipped. You have to physically be there to get the price. Plus tax in Hawaii is 4% also.
Doing a bit of drunk shopping, probably not the best idea.
Tammy and Jensen really liked these heels.
When we walked into the store Viet said he's not into luxury goods, but after he saw some men's shoes that were 50% off and then 10% off on top of that, he changed his mind.
We made our way back to Yokocho for some more cheap drinks.
My friend called me and was asking where we were at. I told them that we were at Yokocho after shopping at YSL for their discounted prices. They went to YSL also and then met up with us after.
Then we did some more drinking, like a lot more.
and there was a dog at the bar.
We all ended up back at YSL and I ended getting some heels for Tammy's birthday and Tammy and I also got Jensen a pair while we were at it.
Tammy, put that back.
After leaving YSL my memory started to get spotty. I had to look at the pictures I took to remember what I did.
Don't remember Annie drinking with us, but pictures don't lie.
This happened too. Don't remember it at all.
McDonald's for late-night eats again.
Ended our night drinking, playing games, and eating Mcdonalds. I think it was a successful day 2.
Tomorrow we are going to the beach to celebrate Phat's 40th birthday.
